Process in the State of Maryland
Before Your Online Consultation:
- If you haven’t registered with the state yet, please do so at the Maryland State website to obtain your Maryland patient ID number. Note that it can take up to 30 days to receive your ID number after registration. However, you can still consult with a doctor through FadeMD and send your ID number to help@fademd.com once you receive it.
- Sign up and complete your application at FadeMD.com.
- Select a time to consult with one of our licensed physicians.
- At the time of your appointment, log into your FadeMD account and enter the waiting room. Ensure your camera and microphone are enabled.
After Your Online Consultation:
- Once approved by a FadeMD physician and after providing them with your Maryland patient number, our physician will submit your medical marijuana certification directly to the Maryland Medical Cannabis Commission (MMCC). You don't need to take any action; our physician will handle all the necessary documentation on your behalf.
- The MMCC will review your application and the certification provided by FadeMD. You will be notified via email once your application is approved.
- Log back into your existing state account at Maryland OneStop.
- Within this account, you are able to print your temporary MMCC patient ID card. The physical card, which you paid for during your initial registration, will be mailed to you. Note that delivery times can vary; while the state aims to mail cards within 90 days, some patients may wait up to eight months.
- With your temporary card and a valid ID, you can purchase medical cannabis from any licensed Maryland dispensary until your physical card arrives.
