Can I be/have a caregiver for a medical marijuana patient in Michigan?

Yes, patients in Michigan can choose to have a caregiver. Caregivers must be at least 21 years old and have no drug felonies, violent felonies, and no felonies of any kind in the last 10 years.

To apply as a caregiver, please follow the steps below:

1. Register your account at the Michigan State website. Make sure the patient also fills out the caregiver section of their patient application.

2. Obtain a recommendation from a FadeMD doctor.

3. Attach certificate and appropriate documents and send it to the MMMP. Once approved, both patient and caregiver will receive a medical marijuana ID card.
